Role Overview

CIP is recruiting a Project Analyst to provide critical coordination and administrative support for the Rwanda Biotech Capacity Building Project. This role ensures smooth communication between project partners, effective event organization, accurate data management, and compliance with donor and institutional requirements.

The position is based in Kigali, Rwanda, reporting directly to the Associate Scientist – Molecular Biologist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily project activities and maintain the project calendar.
  • Organize meetings, workshops, stakeholder consultations, and field visits.
  • Collect, analyze, and organize data for project monitoring and reporting.
  • Prepare agendas, draft minutes, and support documentation for partners.
  • Manage project records and document repositories (SharePoint).
  • Support training material development and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Provide logistical support for visiting partners, trainees, or consultants.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Project Lead.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in project coordination, administration, or development projects (preferably in an international or research environment).
  • Strong experience in organizing events, workshops, and field visits.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel preferred).
  • Ability to collect, manage, and report project data (M&E experience desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player, proactive, and able to work independently.
