Job Overview
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) seeks a
qualified Data Analyst to join its Global Finance Operations
team. This position supports IRC’s global financial systems by developing data
solutions, analytical reports, and automation tools to enhance budgeting,
forecasting, and management reporting.
As part of an international team, the Data Analyst will use Power
BI, DAX, SQL, and Excel Power Query to design and implement data models and
dashboards that drive smarter financial decisions. Although based in Kenya,
this role welcomes applications from qualified Rwandan professionals interested in contributing to IRC’s mission of supporting vulnerable
communities worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and compile data to develop financial queries, templates, and interactive reports.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to improve financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Design and automate Excel tools using Power Query Editor for better data management.
- Develop, test, and publish new Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Conduct data quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Maintain and update existing financial reporting tools.
- Support end-users in interpreting and applying generated data insights.
Skills and Experience Required
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics,
Business, Finance, or Accounting.
Hands-on experience in data analytics or financial reporting using Power BI, Excel, and SQL-based data sources.
Strong understanding of data automation and visualization tools.

Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data models.
- Knowledge of SQL, DAX, and M Language for querying and data manipulation.

Salary & Benefits (Estimated for Rwanda-based Applicants)
- Estimated Monthly Salary Range: RWF 2,500,000 – RWF 3,800,000 (based on experience and IRC’s regional pay scale).
