Role Overview
CIP is seeking a Driver to support the Rwanda Biotech Capacity Building Project. The Driver will provide safe, reliable transportation for project staff, partners, and visitors, while also assisting with logistics and administrative errands.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive project staff, visitors, and partners as required.
- Keep detailed trip records in vehicle logbooks.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks, ensure cleanliness, and report defects promptly.
- Deliver correspondence and assist with permits and documentation.
- Follow CIP’s driving and safety policies, especially in case of accidents.
- Provide monthly fuel and oil consumption reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum: Secondary school education.
- At least 2 years of professional driving experience with a safe record.
- Valid Rwandan driver’s license (Category B).
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Rwandan districts and road networks.
- Defensive driving training is an added advantage.
- Good communication skills (basic English required).
- Trustworthy, punctual, and responsible.
