v Job Purpose
WFP Rwanda is seeking a Partnerships Officer to support its Country Office in Kigali. Reporting directly to the Country Director, the officer will play a key role in building, maintaining, and expanding strategic partnerships with governments, the private sector, and international organizations.
The position also involves developing impactful communication strategies to enhance WFP Rwanda’s visibility and support resource mobilization efforts.
v Key Responsibilities
The Partnerships Officer will:
- Develop and implement strategies to strengthen WFP Rwanda’s partnerships.
- Engage with governments, donors, and partners to secure financial and policy support.
- Prepare high-quality proposals, reports, and presentations for partner engagement.
- Provide strategic advice to senior management on fundraising opportunities and risks.
- Support the rollout of WFP Rwanda’s communications and visibility strategy.
- Facilitate dialogue at national, regional, and global levels to position WFP on critical issues such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Zero Hunger agenda.
- Use data-driven insights and partner intelligence to guide decision-making and resource mobilization.
v Qualifications & Experience Required
- Education: Advanced degree in Political Science, International Relations, Development Economics, Communications, Marketing, Law, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of professional experience in partnerships, donor relations, or communications, preferably within the UN or humanitarian organizations.
- Skills: Strong stakeholder management, excellent writing and communication skills, and ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
- Languages: Fluency in English (Level C) required. Knowledge of French or another UN working language is an asset.
