Job Purpose

The Procurement and Logistics Intern will support CENSCOPE’s procurement and logistics unit in ensuring transparent, efficient, and timely operations in compliance with donor and organizational policies.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate passionate about NGO logistics, humanitarian operations, and community development in Nigeria.

 Key Responsibilities

Procurement

  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Conduct market surveys and collect quotations for vendor evaluation.
  • Maintain and update the supplier/vendor database.
  • File and archive procurement records accurately.
  • Track all procurement requests to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

 Logistics

  • Support the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods and materials.
  • Maintain inventory records and assist in stock verification.
  • Coordinate transport arrangements for staff and materials.
  • Prepare delivery notes, waybills, and logistics reports.

 Asset & Fleet Management

  • Assist with asset tagging, tracking, and registration.
  • Monitor vehicle usage, fuel logs, and maintenance schedules.

 Compliance & Reporting

  • Support monthly procurement and logistics reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with CENSCOPE procurement policies and donor rules.
  • Assist in audits and documentation for donor reviews.

Coordination & Support

  • Collaborate with program teams to forecast procurement needs.
  • Liaise with Finance and Admin departments for smooth project execution.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or ongoing studies) in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience (internship or NGO exposure preferred).
  • Strong understanding of procurement procedures and supply chain principles.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Must be a Nigerian national and resident in Borno or willing to relocate.
