 Job Overview – ICT Specialist II

The ICT Specialist II plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of ICRC’s ICT systems and networks in Mubi, Adamawa State. Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the specialist supports users, maintains infrastructure, and coordinates with both internal teams and external service providers.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update ICT inventories, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Implement ICRC’s ICT policies and standard procedures.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, servers, printers, and network devices.
  • Manage telecommunication systems including HF/VHF radios, satellite phones, and PABX systems.
  • Respond promptly to helpdesk tickets and assist users with hardware/software issues.
  • Provide ICT training and technical advice to staff.
  • Support users in data backup, virus protection, and restoration.
  • Log and resolve all ICT service requests within defined SLAs.
  • Administer new staff computer setups and account configurations.
  • Monitor LAN/WAN connectivity and performance metrics.
  • Maintain technical documentation, repair logs, and stock records.

 Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or Telecommunications.
  • Master’s or postgraduate certification is an added advantage.
  • 3–4 years of experience in ICT or a related technical role.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunication systems (VHF, HF, satellite).
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Must hold a valid work permit to work in Nigeria.

Estimated Salary Range (for reference)

₦400,000 – ₦600,000 per month (depending on experience and qualifications)
