1.Data Collectors – REACH-OUT Project
Position: Data Collector
Project: REACH-OUT Project

Duty Station: Various districts across Rwanda
- Job Summary:
The Data Collectors will support the REACH-OUT Project by conducting high-quality field data collection activities, including household surveys, key informant interviews (KIIs), and focus group discussions (FGDs). This role is ideal for experienced field researchers who are passionate about improving health and nutrition outcomes in Rwanda.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience in household surveys, KIIs, and FGDs
- Ability to manage and transcribe confidential data ethically
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda and a good command of English
- Degree or diploma in Nursing, Public Health, Clinical Medicine, or Environmental Health Sciences
- Availability for full contract duration, including training and fieldwork

2. Data Scientists (2 Positions)
Position: Data Scientist
Department: Research, Innovation & Data Science

Job Summary:
The Data Scientists will play a key role in strengthening CIIC-HIN’s data
analytics capacity by supporting advanced data modeling, integration, and
visualization across multiple health information systems. The ideal candidates
are analytical thinkers with strong programming skills and experience in public
health or data science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate and analyze datasets from national and project-based systems
- Lead advanced data modeling using R, Stata, or Python
- Apply AI and machine learning for health forecasting and analytics
- Train partners and staff in data analytics and visualization
- Support grant proposal development through data-driven insights
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Big Data Analytics, or Mathematical Sciences (PhD preferred)
- At least 3 years of experience in health-related data analysis
- Strong programming and statistical analysis skills (Python, R, SQL)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Digital Health Expert
Position: Digital Health Expert
Department: Research, Innovation & Data Science

Job Summary:
The Digital Health Expert will provide strategic leadership and technical
support in the design, implementation, and scaling of digital health
initiatives. The role focuses on strengthening Rwanda’s digital health
ecosystem, promoting data use for decision-making, and supporting
interoperability across systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support digital health strategy design and implementation
- Lead capacity-building activities for digital health and data use
- Facilitate data integration and metadata harmonization
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for analytics and reporting
- Contribute to grant proposals and technical reports
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Health Informatics, Information Systems, or Computer Science
- At least 3 years of experience in digital health systems and data use
- Strong knowledge of interoperability standards, data governance, and digital health strategy
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English and French
