Job Overview
Position: Fundraising & Communications OfficerDuty Station: Kigali, Rwanda
Contract Type: One-year renewable contract
Reports To: Executive Director

The Fundraising & Communications Officer will lead the design and implementation of fundraising strategies, strengthen donor relationships, and manage the organization’s communications across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with TMO’s mission and growth goals.
- Support program teams with visibility and documentation during field activities.
- Research and identify local and international funding opportunities.
- Prepare winning grant proposals, concept notes, and partnership pitches.
- Maintain communication with donors and partners, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Create engaging content for digital platforms — including website updates, newsletters, and social media campaigns.
- Strengthen TMO’s brand image through storytelling, case studies, and community impact reports.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Development Studies, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fundraising, proposal writing, or donor relations in an NGO setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Kinyarwanda (French is an advantage).
- Proven track record in digital communications and social media management.
Salary and Benefits
- Estimated Salary Range: RWF 1,200,000 – 1,800,000 per month (depending on experience).
