COPEDU PLC is currently hiring for the following positions:
1. IT Digital Officer
Location: Kigali, Rwanda
Reports to: IT Operations Manager
Role Overview
The IT Digital Officer will support the institution’s day-to-day IT operations with a particular focus on digital banking platforms, system availability, and end-user technical support. The role is critical in ensuring smooth digital service delivery and system reliability across the organization.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments to maintain IT systems, support mobile and digital banking services, and strengthen cybersecurity practices.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, software, and network systems.
- Provide first- and second-level technical support to staff and users.
- Manage user accounts, system access rights, and data security controls.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
- Support digital banking platforms, including mobile and online banking services.
- Assist in implementing cybersecurity measures and IT policies.
- Document IT procedures, incidents, and system changes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in IT support or infrastructure management, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
- Working knowledge of Core Banking Systems (ICBS) and database management (MySQL).
- Professional certifications in IT, networking, or information security are an added advantage.

2. IT Operations Manager
Location: Kigali, Rwanda
Reports to: Head of IT
Role Overview
The IT Operations Manager will provide leadership and strategic oversight for IT infrastructure, systems development, cybersecurity, and business continuity planning. This role ensures that all banking technologies operate securely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
The position is ideal for an experienced IT professional with strong management skills and a background in financial systems.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Oversee the institution’s IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
- Plan and manage system upgrades, maintenance, and technology improvements.
- Supervise cybersecurity operations and ensure data protection standards are met.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Manage and mentor IT staff, fostering skill development and performance excellence.
- Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers on IT-related projects.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- At least three (3) years of experience in IT operations management, preferably within the banking or financial sector.
- Strong understanding of ICBS, databases (MySQL), and enterprise IT systems.
- Professional certifications such as Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, or equivalent are an advantage.
