Ø Key Responsibilities
As the Enterprise Development Technical Advisor, you will:
- Provide Strategic Leadership: Design and roll out inclusive enterprise development strategies, tools, and interventions.
- Ensure Program Quality: Implement robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to ensure impactful results.
- Build Capacity: Train and mentor CARE staff and partners to effectively support entrepreneurs.
- Drive Innovation & Learning: Test new approaches, scale successful models, and promote knowledge-sharing.
- Strengthen Partnerships: Represent CARE in national and regional forums, building alliances and influencing policy agendas.
Ø Required Qualifications & Experience
Ø Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Enterprise Development, Business Management, Development Management, or related field
· .Master’s degree in Development Management or Social Sciences (preferred).
· Project Management Certification (PIMM) is an added advantage.
Ø Experience:
· Minimum of 8 years in enterprise/entrepreneurship development, business management, or advisory projects.
· At least 4 years in strategy design, staff training, and partner capacity building.
· Proven track record in program design, participatory approaches, and donor/government relations.
Ø Technical Skills:
· Strong project management, coordination, and team leadership skills.
· Excellent understanding of poverty analysis and economic development.
· Advanced proposal and report writing skills.
· Strong communication in English (required); fluency in Kinyarwanda and French is a plus.
