The program offers $30,000 in research funding for one year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year based on performance. It is designed to increase diversity in the occupational therapy profession by supporting postdoctoral scholars from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups in the United States.

Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander

• Hold an Occupational Therapy degree and a doctoral degree (PhD, OTD, DrOT, or ScD)

Applicants with non-OT doctoral degrees must conduct their postdoctoral research in an OT department
Secure a research mentor with expertise in the proposed area of study
Obtain IRB approval (or be in the process) for their research project
Conduct research at a U.S. academic institution
