-About the Role – Project Coordinator

RNCDA is seeking a motivated and organized Project Coordinator to manage health-focused projects and coordinate multi-sectoral partnerships aimed at improving NCD prevention and control across Rwanda.

This role is central to implementing national health campaigns, driving stakeholder collaboration, and ensuring program success. The ideal candidate will be passionate about public health, project management, and community development.

Work Location: Kigali, with frequent field travel
Reports to: Executive Director

-Key Responsibilities

       1. Project Management

  •  Develop and manage project work plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Identify challenges and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Oversee implementation of awareness campaigns and outreach activities. Track progress and ensure alignment with donor expectations. 

    2.Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent RNCDA in national and regional health networks.
  • Build strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector actors.
  • Coordinate with partners to foster collaboration and advocacy.

      3. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

  • Design M&E frameworks for ongoing projects.
  • Prepare progress reports for management and donors.
  • Collect and analyze field data to assess program effectiveness.

    4. Communication & Advocacy

  • Support development of advocacy materials and campaign messaging.
  • Manage digital campaigns and increase visibility across platforms.
  • Contribute to policy briefs, success stories, and press releases.
  • -Required Qualifications

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related health sciences.
  • A Master’s in Public Health or Project Management is an added advantage.

-Experience

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in project coordination or program management, preferably within health, NGO, or development sectors.
  • Prior involvement in NCD-related initiatives or community health promotion is highly preferred.

-Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Kinyarwanda.
  • Familiarity with Rwanda’s health system and stakeholder coordination.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools (Trello, Asana).
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving ability and adaptability.
