Job Overview
Grape Leaves Food Inc. is seeking a Factory Maintenance Worker to join our growing team in Windsor, Ontario. This hands-on position involves maintaining factory facilities, performing repairs, and ensuring smooth operations within our food manufacturing environment.
You’ll work on-site, handling various maintenance duties with minimal supervision in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness: sweep, mop, and wax floors and hallways.
- Operate industrial cleaning tools and vacuum equipment.
- Perform minor repairs on building systems (heating, plumbing, electrical).
- Support contractors with major maintenance tasks.
- Conduct safety and security checks.
- Move heavy equipment and perform physical maintenance duties.
- Handle basic painting and drywall repair tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7 months to 1 year in maintenance or related field.
- Certificate: WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
Tools/Equipment: Waxing machine, power tools, lawn mowers, and security systems.
Skills & Personal Qualities
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit to lift over 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Flexible with shift schedules (morning, evening, weekend, overtime).
Work Environment
- On-site work in an industrial facility.
- Physically demanding tasks under various weather conditions.
- Safety boots required (own equipment).
