The role focuses on hands-on field engagement, working closely with local communities, cooperatives, extension agents, government authorities, and technical partners to deliver high-quality project outcomes. The officer will ensure that activities across livestock management, fodder production, artificial insemination, market linkage, and cooperative strengthening are executed efficiently and sustainably.

It also provides valuable exposure to donor-funded development programming, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based project implementation.

Programme Background & Impact

The Dairy Value Chain Development Project is designed to strengthen local dairy systems by improving livestock productivity, supporting fodder production, enhancing milk hygiene practices, promoting cooperative development, and facilitating access to markets. Through integrated community-based approaches, the project seeks to rebuild livelihoods, increase household incomes, and improve nutritional outcomes among vulnerable populations.

The program also integrates environmental sustainability by supporting biodigester installation and eco-friendly briquette production, reducing dependence on firewood and promoting clean energy solutions.
